ABOUT THE PASTOR:

Pastor Otjen has previously served in various positions such as interim pastor, youth pastor, assistant pastor and Sunday school teacher in Baptist churches in Idaho, Iowa, Texas and Kentucky all the while serving in the U.S. Army. He retired from the Army as a First Sergeant in July 2011.

During his time in the Army he was able to attend Luther Rice University / Seminary where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Religion in 2007 as well as his Masters of Arts in Christian Studies in 2009.

While preparing for retirement God implressed on him the need to start a local, independent, baptist church in Rineyville, KY. The church was started in October 2012 and continues to grow today.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.
